Here is an example of the amount of liquids that my hubby had to take to work with him to stay hydrated (Don't worry, he washed and re-filled the bottles. The red ones are a Gatorade mix.). He drank all of these and the ones that customers gave him, poor guy doesn't have air conditioning in his truck for work.
When it first started to heat up around here, we got excited and hit the beach with our good friends the G6!
Sheree's twin brother and sister joined us. They were so good with the kids. O even let them bury him in the sand.

My youngest always stays right by my side. I just ♥ her for that!
We put up our little inflatable pool for the kiddos to cool off in. 
As the days got hotter, we all stayed up late until it was cool enough to sleep. During the day the kids were just wiped out from the heat and lack of sleep.
We let the girls have sister sleepovers downstairs where it was much cooler. They loved this and didn't want to go back to their rooms when the weather cooled.
It was to hot to go outside so the kids played the Wii a bunch. Pay loves to do yoga on the Wii fit!
I had a headache for a couple of days from the Guitar Hero game. The kids love to play this and it must of course be played as loud as possible! Here is Kaylin and her friend Isa rockin' out!We spent many of our days at our friends the H5 and D5 house's. The H5 have an in ground pool and invited us over to cool off.
The D5 live on a local lake, and the kids had a blast swimming and boating while keeping cool.
The kids were grumpy and hot and miserable at home, so we would head over to their houses in the afternoon.
Thank you sooooo much H5 and D5 for letting us hang with you guys! It made all the difference in the world! (I can't believe I don't have any pictures???)
We ended up buying an air-conditioner, because it was just to miserable to deal with the heat. It has finally cooled down here for awhile, even rained today a bit.
We still have a few weeks of summer left, and I want to enjoy every minute of it before the kids have to go back to school!
One of the things I love most about the islands is that most of the stores are local owned and carry organic and/or natural products. 
I had to take a picture of the clothes trail the kids left on their way down to the water. Too funny!
Trust me, it was just as cold as it looks! The G6 daddy, David, decided to have a little contest. Whoever dunked their heads in the water got to have 3 smores for dessert! It was sooooo on! Here is a picture of Isa just before she dunked.
And, here she is after! They were freezing, but they wanted those smores more than anything!
The older siblings tried to encourage the little ones to give it a try. They went out for a bit, but quickly came and found the Mommy's and the towels!
After everyone dried off it was time to have a little snack and get ready for fishing!
Dao, brought enough gear for everyone. Apparently people on the dock thought he was a local giving kids lessons. They even tried to get their kids to line up to have a turn. One little girl got mad and said, "Hey, it's my turn next!". All we could do was laugh, and try to explain that these are all our kids. 
After helping the kids get set up, Dao finally had a turn to fish...
This is what he caught. He was the only one to catch anything, so he gave it to another family on the dock that was fishing.
The ferry ride home was beautiful!!! 
It was not a direct route, so we stopped at some of the other islands on our way back to Anacortes. There was a bald Eagle in one of the trees, so I had to take a pic.

These little cuties joined me in the tent and we pulled out some games. They played so well together! 
Soon after we got settled, a dear walked up to our campsite. It was not even a little afraid of us. In fact, I have never seen so many deer in my life. They were everywhere!

Along the way we saw quite a few trees that had fallen over. The little ones thought it was cool to see the roots. 
We hiked to Cascade Falls, a local water fall. The kids and Daddies went down to the bottom of the falls, while Pay, Dev, and the Mommies stayed up high. 
Then, for some crazy reason, the Daddies decided to take a shortcut back up to us. So they had the kids cross over a tree that was about 15 feet off the ground, and hike up to us!

The H5 were out of town this year and offered us their VIP spectator seats! Usually, to sit in the front of the parade you have to go down the night before or early in the morning and save spots with your stuff. It was so nice to just walk down to the reserved seats and not have to worry about finding a spot! Thanks so much H5 you were truly missed!
The kids scored with all the passers by! They filled their bags with candy, got flags, chalk, and other little toys. Who could resist such cuties!

Dao's family came over for dinner! The food was super yummy! Shrimp, Salmon, steak, chicken, grilled onions, corn on the cob, and of course hot dogs for the kids. Dao is totally king of the BBQ!
Grandpa is usually working (he is a Chef) so it was a special treat to have him there.
Goo-Goo Xuan (Goo-Goo means Auntie in Chinese) hung out and played Lego's with the kids.
Goo-Goo B and Rob brought a massive amount of fireworks, including sparklers for the kids!
Pay, Dev, Madi, and the Mommies stayed inside for most of the night. The big kids were outside until almost midnight and Pay just couldn't stay awake. 
The girls decided to sunbathe on the trampoline. They got their towels, swimsuits, sunglasses, and books and I lathered them with sunblock.

The girls even surprised Daddy by making him dinner. They set the table, and made little notes to let him know we appreciate all his hard work. We wish he could be home with us to enjoy the break.
